Shooting will stop at 5:00 PM, period. Please get there as early as you can on the last couple of days before deer opener, as there can be quite a crowd. Itasca Gun Club provides 9 bench rests, chairs, sandbags, targets and a volunteer with a spotting scope to help you spot your shots on the targets.
"Sight In Days" is an important part of IGC's annual fundraising. Everyone out there helping is a volunteer. If you're already a member, and don't feel you should have to pay $3.00 to sight in, then sight in a few weeks early before all those volunteers show up and give their time to the club.

Duties of Sight In Volunteers Reading the detailed description will also help guests get a feel for the procedures for sighting in.
Membership in the Itasca Gun Club
Please consider joining the Itasca Gun Club while you're here! We've built great new rifle and pistol ranges, and our membership fees are very low compared to other ranges. Membership fees can help with continuing construction of a planned small bore range and indoor range. The Itasca Gun Club is a 501(c)4 non-profit, and we have members from many counties across the state, and a number of other states. You can have a lot of year-round shooting opportunities for $35 a year, which is about the cost for an hour or two of shooting at a metro range. Regular family memberships are $35/year, and the same membership is $23 if you're over 60 years old.
We host a variety of competitive, casual and just fun indoor and outdoor shooting opportunities. They're open to the public, and we're family oriented. We have a 100, 200, and 300 yard range for rifle and pistol, and will be building a 1,000 yard range as we move forward. We have a completed outdoor pistol range and are planning for an outdoor smallbore yard range and a new indoor range. Check the Indoor Shooting and Outdoor Shooting tabs above for more information.
We put on regular classes, as noted on our calendar. We have certified trainers for pistol carry permits, DNR youth firearm safety and DNR adult firearm safety (sometimes needed for hunting in other states.) For DNR firearm safety, we hold both the traditional 16 hour classroom/field classes, and the new web/field day classes.
