Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol Classes

Itasca Gun Club (IGC) Certified Instructors are approved to teach MN Permit to Carry a Pistol Classes through the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the NRA.  IGC Instructors must maintain their qualifications through annual training, and must teach a course fully approved by the IGC, NRA and BCA.

Non - IGC instructors may rent the clubhouse and range to teach, but they are responsible for maintaining their own certification, liability insurance and class structure.

• Each class on the calendar provides a link to contact information to the instructor
  
• IGC classes meet the approval and requirements of the Itasca County Sheriff's Department for issuing a permit
  
• Classes can be taken by anyone who can legally possess handguns and ammunition
• Classes require a fee, which varies based on instructor and class size.  IGC Instructors typically charge $75
• IGC options include regular classes, women-only classes and small group classes
• IGC classes are one full day, and include live fire in a handgun range
• NRA classroom rules apply, and LIVE AMMUNITION IS NOT ALLOWED IN CLASSROOMS
