Mini Palma Matches .22 Rimfire

Mini Palma Matches - .22 rimfire competition
Palma Matches are international competitions where shooters fire at targets out to 1,000 yards. They're a bit inaccessible to the average shooter. However, Mini Palma Matches are fired with .22 rimfire rifles on a 100 yard range, and the scoring rings on the targets are sized to replicate the difficulty of hitting 1,000 yard targets. These matches are much easier for people to get involved in longer distance shooting.
Itasca Gun Club will be running Mini Palma Matches in the summer, one Tuesday per month. These are open to members and the public.
Palma Competition Matches began in 1876 and Included Prone Shooting out to 1000 yards. It has always been an international sport, with National Teams shooting around the world for a Perpetual Trophy. The Matches stopped at the outbreak of WW2 and didn't begin again until Canada revived them 1966.
Mini-Palma Matches were created by the NRA to simulate Shooting Palma with Smallbore (.22 rimfire) rifles at 100 yards.
