Outdoor pistol range closed if sunny, rifle range closed if rain. You are invited to an Introduction to Itasca Action Pistol 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

If you or someone you know wants to find out what Action Pistol is about, your chance is coming up!  There will be an “Introduction to Action Pistol” match on Saturday, May 5, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, or done.  This match will be held at the new outdoor pistol range.

The cost? $0.00. That is correct, nothing.  It will be an official Match after one orientation stage and we will do as many stages as we have time for. The level of difficulty will be reasonable. Fun level will be high/ego level low.  THIS IS THE TIME TO DRAG YOUR FRIENDS OUT HERE AND EXPOSE THEM TO THE SPORT!    There’s no penalty if you have to leave early but YOU MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE SAFETY BRIEF IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE!

You will need:

• 1.       A center fire Pistol, .380 or larger caliber. 
• 2.       Three magazines, four if your magazine capacity is less than 8, unless of course you never miss.
• 3.       Magazine holders if you have them, to carry on your belt.  Otherwise you’ll need to use a pocket.  
• 4.       A Hip Holster, no “cross draw,” ankle or shoulder holsters.  This is about safety.
• 5.       Eye and Ear Protection.
• 6.       Cover Garment, (jacket, shooting vest etc. that is long enough to hang down and cover your holstered pistol.)
• 7.       At Least 100 rounds of ammo. 
• 8.       Please leave your revolvers at home unless you have a minimum of 4 speed loaders and are proficient in their use.

Itasca Action Pistol is about challenging yourself to shoot smoothly, accurately and safely from a draw, with a fun group of people.
